Derelict Hideout: the beacon temple
One swordsman meets you on the way into the temple, and past the corner an archer shoots down from higher ground. Push quickly through the wall breach on your left and kill the stone-thrower, and the path opens onto the altar with a Ventrium behind it. Cleanse the beacon and head back to the surface.
Garrick's Den: the cube that is not a cube
From the cave checkpoint, a left backtrack ends at a miniboss under the bridge if you want the detour. The way forward is also left: descend through the hatch marked with waves, the sign the game uses for drops into standalone dungeons. The stone cube sitting inside is a lurking monster. It is not furniture; hit it first.
The cave below: three pouncers
Drop down and three stone-formed monsters set on you. They pounce fast and the dodge window is thin, so strike first or block the leap and punish the landing. Once they are down, collect the 300 Coin lying around, plus a note. At the puddle ahead, interact to launch yourself up, then walk out of the dungeon.
Blocking, resolve, and the right-hand descent
Right of the checkpoint a prompt teaches Guard. A block placed exactly in an enemy's swing spends their resolve; an emptied resolve bar leaves them briefly stunned and open to a finishing blow. Follow the right wall down from there. At the bottom left an altar holds the second Ventrium, and a strong enemy with an axe drops in on you. He leaps in from any distance, but the attacks are slow: dodging him is miserable and blocking him is easy. The kill pays 150 Coin and 156 Gloom.
Ruk's warning at the arch
Past the fight, step into the puddle and jump up the ledge in your standard form. The crow Ruk is there with a warning about what is coming. Follow the path to the arch, interact between the pillars, and hop over the pit.
Boss: Orrem, the Discarded Golem
That is by design. This is the scripted loss of the story: you are supposed to go down. When you do, your shell, the knight Harros, steps in on his own, shoots the golem's head off, and dies permanently for it. Take Vatra's Seal from the boss's body; it swaps Guard for Harden.
The keep above and the cliff with Ruk
Ride the elevator ahead up into the keep's narrow corridors. The dead end on your left hides a note; the main path runs right, and a notch in the right wall holds one more. Come out to the surface, walk to the cliff where Ruk sits, and the white cocoon beside him is a Spoiled Ovum. Cleanse the corruption from it and take it with you.
