Mortal Shell 2 Walkthrough - Part 14: Pulsing Caves (Mawbreak Cavern and the Blackblood Stone)

Mawbreak Cavern

The dungeon sits under the save point. Around the central pit, cherubs and cocoons form the welcoming committee; clear out both kinds.

Climb the little footbridge and pick up the Laterite. The chest holds the Blackblood Stone, a tarstone whose projectiles deal damage in an area. With the cavern swept, use Cleanse Corruption and head back.

The pit outside

Step back outside and drop into the pit the cube creatures have gathered around; the fall takes a small bite out of your health. Drop farther down onto the rocky footbridges, and at the very bottom destroy the cocoons and the cherubs.

The open ledge

Leave the cave for the open ledge and kill the monsters on it, one tree-thing among them. Climb the two upper footbridges; at their dead end sits a Ventrium. Take the lower footbridge instead and destroy the cocoons along it. Ahead, the floor drops away to a chest: nothing forces you down, but it is right there. Back up top, activate the beacon to close out Pulsing Caves.
